Catalog Full Description

The General and Airframe Course is an accelerated training program designed to prepare eligible aviation maintenance professionals to successfully complete the FAA General and Airframe written examinations and the associated Oral and Practical (O&P) testing required under 14 CFR Part 65.

This intensive program combines structured classroom instruction, guided written test preparation, and hands-on maintenance activities to reinforce core aviation maintenance principles. Students will utilize industry recognized FAA written test preparation software to strengthen subject knowledge, identify knowledge gaps, and build confidence prior to testing.

Hands-on laboratory activities and structured O&P preparation sessions simulate FAA Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME) testing conditions and focus on the practical skills required for certification. Following completion of the FAA written examinations, instructors review each student’s test performance and knowledge area reports to tailor Oral and Practical preparation activities. This individualized approach focuses additional training on identified knowledge gaps, ensuring students are better prepared for the FAA examination process.

Instruction is delivered by experienced aviation maintenance professionals and incorporates both theoretical instruction and applied learning to ensure students are fully prepared for certification testing.
